Newcastle German Kino Society (NGKS)

The Newcastle German Kino Society is a not‑for‑profit, member‑run organisation dedicated to screening German films and bringing together people with an interest in German language and culture.

All films are shown in German with English subtitles. Click here to see our preliminary program for 2026. Please note films may change so please check this website regularly.

When? Every fourth Monday of the month (February–November)

Where? The Base, 3 Tudor Street, Newcastle West, Australia

Time? Doors open at 6:30pm for a 7:00pm film start

Can I just come along? Absolutely. We welcome new members at any time of the year, and visitors are welcome to attend for a donation. Repeat visitors will need to become members — see membership options for full‑year or 3‑month memberships.
